A very clean car, even underneith! The issue here was that the fuel pump keept running. Usually the fuel pump will come on for 5-10 seconds when the key is turned, to pressureise the system. Then it will cut off, well unless there is a suction issue. Listen for a slurping noise if the pump runs and runs and runs and won't shut off. This will mean the fuel pump is fine, but the tube needs to be changed. It still requires the fuel tank to be droped. But don't worry about buying a fuel pump. Harold's 1989 Chrysler TC by Masarati
The timing belt on these cars are a bear to replace. The front engine mount, routes through the timing belt cover and makes it nessesary for one to remove the engine mount. To remove the timing belt. Be aware that ordering parts for this car can be tricky. It seems the 1989 TC takes parts from a 1988 lebaron. The water pump is the same as on the 88 lebaron. These cars were only made for 3 years, 89-91. They made 7,000 of them. Harold Hamilton is a collector of these cars and is a nice person to talk to.
